Context
CRED was redesigning the entire app around a new visual system called NeoPop. The challenge was less about screens and more about the substrate underneath — a token system and component library that ten engineers could ship in parallel without stepping on each other.
What I built
- 01Authored the token architecture (color, elevation, motion) so designers and engineers spoke the same language.
- 02Led a team of 10 engineers through the rewrite of every screen in the CRED app on top of the new library.
- 03Open-sourced the framework at github.com/CRED-CLUB/neopop-web — it went on to collect 871 stars, 128 forks, and a feature on Product Hunt.

Reflections
The hardest part of a design system isn't components — it's keeping conviction. Saying no to one-off variants is what makes the library actually compound.
